Our Enamel Painting Process: Precision and Durability
Our comprehensive enamel painting process is designed for efficiency and lasting results, typically completed within 1-3 days for an average apartment.
- 1
Initial Assessment & Preparation (2-4 hours)
We begin with a thorough inspection of all doors and windows to be painted, identifying any damage or specific requirements. Surfaces are then meticulously cleaned, degreased, and lightly sanded to ensure optimal adhesion. We protect surrounding areas with masking tape and drop cloths.
- 2
Repair & Priming (3-6 hours)
Any minor cracks, holes, or imperfections are filled with appropriate wood or metal filler and sanded smooth. A high-quality primer is then applied to seal the surface, prevent bleed-through, and provide a uniform base for the enamel. This step is crucial for durability.
- 3
First Enamel Coat (4-8 hours)
Once the primer is dry, the first coat of enamel is applied. We use professional-grade brushes, rollers, or sprayers, depending on the surface and desired finish, ensuring even coverage and avoiding drips. Adequate drying time is allowed as per manufacturer specifications.
- 4
Final Enamel Coat & Inspection (3-7 hours)
After the first coat has fully cured, a light sanding may be performed if necessary, followed by the application of the final enamel coat. We then conduct a detailed inspection, touching up any minor imperfections and removing all protective coverings, leaving your doors and windows with a flawless, durable finish.
