1. We are an intermediary platform
Manitas Barcelona 24 ("the Platform") is a digital intermediation service. Our role is to connect people and businesses that need a handyman, plumbing, electrical, locksmith, painting, assembly, renovation, or similar trade service with independent self-employed professionals or partner companies that operate on their own account.
The Platform does not carry out the work, does not direct the professional's activity, does not impose tools or working hours, and has no employment, subordinated commercial, or agency relationship with the professional. Each professional acts in their own name, with their own tools, their own insurance, and their own tax and professional liability.
2. Who is responsible for the work
Full responsibility for the service booked — including proper execution, quality, safety, compliance with applicable technical rules, any damage caused at the property or to third parties, the follow-up warranty, and issuing the invoice — lies exclusively with the professional performing the work.
The service contract is entered into directly between the client and the professional, not with the Platform. Any complaint about how the work was carried out must first be raised with the professional.
3. What we actually do
The Platform is limited to: (a) publishing information about services and areas, (b) receiving quote requests, (c) passing those requests to a suitable professional, and (d) facilitating the initial contact. Any indicative prices shown are estimates based on prior jobs and do not constitute a binding offer; the final quote is issued by the professional after assessing the specific case.
We do not continuously verify each professional's qualifications, professional-body membership, insurance, or tax status; we publish what each professional provides to us. If you need to verify a specific qualification, membership, or insurance policy, ask the professional directly before booking.
4. Platform liability limits
To the maximum extent permitted by Spanish and EU law, the Platform is not liable for: physical or property damage caused while the work is carried out, defects in the service performed, missed deadlines, quotes that differ from the amount ultimately charged by the professional, or any lack of after-sales warranty by the professional.
Nothing on this page excludes obligations that the law imposes on the Platform as an information society service provider (Spanish Law 34/2002, LSSICE) or as a data controller under GDPR and LOPDGDD.
5. Consumers and non-waivable rights
If you contract as a consumer, you keep in full the rights granted to you by Spanish consumer law, including those in Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 (TRLGDCU): the right to accurate information, a conforming service, a legal warranty against the professional who performed the work, and the standard complaint and consumer-arbitration channels.
You may address complaints to Barcelona's Municipal Consumer Information Office (OMIC) or to the Catalan Consumer Agency (ACC). These rights are non-waivable and prevail over any clause on this page.
6. Complaints and contact
If you had a bad experience with a professional contacted through the Platform, write to us: we will act as a good-faith intermediary to try to resolve it, pass your complaint on to the professional, and, where appropriate, stop working with those who do not meet our quality standards. This mediation does not change the responsibility points above.
