Our Wall Smoothing and Plastering Process
Our comprehensive wall smoothing process typically unfolds over four distinct stages, ensuring a superior finish.
- 1
Initial Assessment and Preparation (1-2 hours)
We begin with a thorough inspection of the walls, identifying all imperfections, previous coatings, and structural issues. Furniture is carefully moved and protected, and floors are covered with heavy-duty sheeting.
- 2
Surface Cleaning and Repair (3-6 hours)
All loose paint, dust, and debris are removed. Any existing cracks or holes are meticulously filled with appropriate repair compounds, ensuring a stable and even substrate.
- 3
Application of Smoothing Compound (1-3 days)
Depending on the wall's condition, one to three layers of high-quality plastering or smoothing compound are applied. Each layer is allowed to dry completely before the next, with intermediate sanding to achieve optimal flatness. This is the most time-consuming phase, crucial for a perfect finish.
- 4
Final Sanding and Dust Removal (2-4 hours)
Once all layers are dry, the walls are finely sanded to a perfectly smooth finish. This stage uses fine-grit abrasives to eliminate any minor ridges or inconsistencies. A thorough dust extraction follows, leaving the surface pristine and ready for priming and painting.
