How we work
There are two approaches to adding a new socket where there was none before. The first is 'regata' (chasing). This involves opening a channel in the wall from the nearest socket to the new point, running the cable inside, and then closing the channel with plaster. It's the cleanest visually but requires minor building work and repainting the wall. Timeline: 4-6 hours plus wall repair. Changing a standard switch to a dimmer switch requires first checking if the light fitting is compatible. Standard LED bulbs are often not dimmable. Only 'dimmable' labelled LEDs work well with a dimmer. Old halogen lights dim without issue but are rarely used now due to their power consumption.
