How we work
It's an old close-coupled cistern; the flat is from the 60s. Two years ago, I replaced the flush valve with a new one (the blue and white plastic type). Now it's leaking water into the bowl, and the tank seems to never stop filling. The stopcock is next to the tank. It's a mezzanine, the interior patio drain isn't working, and the downpipe is poorly constructed. We believe the entire installation needs changing. Every time it rains, it floods. This is a community project; we need a quote for the community president. The float mechanism works perfectly. The water outlet never stops; it constantly keeps flowing, and we had to close the stopcock to avoid wasting water.
