The most notable building in the neighbourhood is the old Sedeta factory. Established in 1899 and operating until 1976, Casa Pujol i Casacuberta was one of the many factories that set up in the area seeking underground water from the streams. In 1978, the City Council purchased it, thus fulfilling the public's demand to reclaim it for public use. Today, it houses a community centre and a secondary school. El Camp d’en Grassot, a rural area with many farmhouses and tile factories, was an outlying neighbourhood of the Gràcia municipality, on the border with Barcelona, which would later become the Sagrada Família neighbourhood, on one of the edges of L’Eixample. Around 1860, its owners, including Jeroni Grassot, began to urbanise it. The main avenues from that urbanisation still exist within the Cerdà grid, such as Passatge d'Alió or Carrer de Grassot.
