How we work
First, the old silicone must be completely removed. New silicone cannot be applied over old; it will not adhere and will peel off in weeks. Removal is done with a special cutter, scraper, and, in difficult cases, with a specific chemical softener that dissolves the old silicone without damaging the tile. Silicone application is done with a gun and continuous, uninterrupted movement. Stopping and restarting creates visible irregularities. Immediately after application, it is smoothed with a silicone spatula or a finger dipped in soapy water to achieve the characteristic uniform concave finish. Masking tape is removed before the silicone begins to cure, within the first 5 minutes.
