Our Appliance Connection Process: From Call to Clean Up
Our process for connecting your washing machine or dishwasher is designed for efficiency and minimal disruption, typically completed within 1 to 3 hours depending on complexity. It begins with your initial contact, where we gather details about your appliance and current setup.
- 1
Initial Assessment & Quote (15-30 minutes)
Upon arrival, our plumber will inspect the intended location, assess existing water inlet and drain points, and confirm power availability. We'll discuss any necessary modifications and provide a transparent, fixed-price quote before any work begins.
- 2
Preparation & Safety (20-40 minutes)
We'll turn off the main water supply if required, lay down protective coverings, and prepare all necessary tools and materials. Safety checks for electrical points are also conducted at this stage.
- 3
Connection & Installation (45-90 minutes)
This is where the appliance is physically connected. We'll securely attach water inlet hoses, ensure proper drainage into the waste pipe, and make electrical connections. For dishwashers, this includes integrating them into kitchen cabinetry if applicable.
- 4
Testing & Clean-up (10-20 minutes)
Once connected, we'll run a test cycle to check for leaks, proper drainage, and correct operation. We'll then tidy the work area, remove any debris, and provide you with advice on appliance use and maintenance. You'll sign off only when completely satisfied.
