Built at the Can Cavaller Estate in the late 19th century, the initial project for the structure of the complex and the pavilions, mostly Modernista, was entrusted to Camil Oliveres i Cansaran, then architect of the Diputació, who distributed the buildings independently throughout the space following the most advanced sanitary canons of that era. After his death, other architects continued the project. These constructions are made with exposed brick and polychromed ceramic decoration, a synthesis of aesthetics and functionality typical of this style.
