How We Work
To add a new socket where there wasn't one before, there are two approaches. The first is chasing. This involves opening a channel in the wall from the nearest socket to the new point, running the cable inside, and then closing the channel with plaster. It's the most visually clean option, but it involves minor construction work and repainting the wall. Timeline: 4-6 hours plus wall repair. Changing a standard switch to a dimmer switch requires first checking that the luminaire is compatible. Standard LED bulbs are often not dimmable. Only LEDs labelled 'dimmable' work well with a dimmer. Old halogen lights do dim without issue, but they are rarely used now due to consumption.
