How we work
Changing a standard switch to a dimmer switch requires first checking that the light fitting is compatible. Standard LED bulbs are often not dimmable. Only LEDs labelled 'dimmable' work well with a dimmer. Old halogen bulbs dim without issue but are hardly used anymore due to consumption. To add a new socket where there was none, there are two approaches. The first is chasing. This involves cutting a channel in the wall from the nearest socket to the new point, running the cable inside, and then plastering over the channel. It's visually the cleanest but involves minor works and repainting the wall. Timeline: 4-6 hours plus wall repair.
