How we work
First, the old silicone must be completely removed. New silicone cannot be applied over old, as it won't adhere and will peel off within weeks. Removal is done with a special utility knife, scraper, and, in difficult cases, with a specific chemical softener that dissolves the old silicone without damaging the tiles. Silicone application is done with a gun and continuous, uninterrupted movement. Stopping and restarting creates visible irregularities. Immediately after application, it is smoothed with a silicone spatula or a finger dipped in soapy water to achieve the characteristic concave, uniform finish. Masking tape is removed before the silicone begins to cure, within the first 5 minutes.
