How we work
Call us, message us on WhatsApp, or request your quote online — we'll respond within 10 minutes during business hours. The process is laborious. We apply a thick levelling compound over the artex and let it partially dry. We then sand with an orbital sander until the surface is completely smooth. We apply a sealing primer and two coats of emulsion paint. The dust generated during sanding is considerable. We cover the entire room with plastic sheeting before starting and vacuum thoroughly upon completion. A standard 15 m² room, smoothed and painted, takes 2-3 days of work. Solid wood parquet is the traditional option. Each plank is 100 percent solid natural wood, typically oak, ash, or walnut. Much more expensive to purchase and install, but it gives unique character to the room because each plank has a distinct natural grain. Its great advantage is its indefinite durability. If it wears down or gets damaged, it can be sanded and varnished again several times throughout its life. This is what was installed in old high-end flats and what we recommend for premium home renovations where the budget allows.
