How we work
For properties that are empty from October to March, the check also includes technical shutdown. We turn off the main water valves if there's no risk of frost, which is rare on the coast. We drain the water heater if the property is unused for more than three months. We empty the air conditioning condensate trays and leave them in the 'off' position. And we check the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, if present. The air-to-water heat pump, also called aerothermal, goes a step further. The outdoor unit heats or cools water that circulates through radiators, underfloor heating, or fan coils to condition the home, and simultaneously heats a domestic hot water tank of approximately 200 litres for shower and tap use. It solves everything with a single unit, ideal for villas and large homes. Its payback compared to a traditional gas + air system is 8 to 12 years in the local climate.
