How we work
It's an old close-coupled cistern; the flat dates from the 1960s. Two years ago I changed the flush valve for a new one (the blue and white plastic type). Now water is leaking into the bowl and the tank seems to never stop flushing. The stopcock is next to the tank. The float mechanism works perfectly. The water outlet never stops, it constantly keeps running and we had to turn off the stopcock to avoid wasting water. In any case, I have bought a replacement rubber ball part (rubber/plastic ball plus rod and nuts) but given the difficult access, I would like it to be installed by a professional familiar with this type of work. That's why I would like to request a quote.
