Our Enamel Painting Process: From Preparation to Perfect Finish
Our comprehensive enamel painting process ensures a flawless and lasting finish for your doors and windows. It typically begins with a thorough site assessment and protection (Day 1, 1-2 hours). We meticulously cover adjacent surfaces, flooring, and furniture with drop cloths and masking tape to prevent any accidental splashes or drips. This initial step is crucial for maintaining a clean workspace and protecting your property. Next, we move to surface preparation (Day 1, 3-5 hours). This involves carefully cleaning the doors and windows, removing any dirt, grease, or loose paint. We then sand the surfaces to create an optimal base for adhesion, filling any minor imperfections, cracks, or holes with appropriate wood filler or putty. This careful preparation is key to a smooth, professional result. Following preparation, we apply the primer (Day 2, 2-3 hours). A high-quality primer ensures excellent adhesion of the enamel paint, blocks stains, and provides an even base colour. We allow adequate drying time as per manufacturer specifications before proceeding to the topcoat application. Finally, we apply two coats of premium enamel paint (Day 2-3, 4-6 hours per coat). Each coat is applied evenly, allowing sufficient drying time between applications to achieve maximum durability and a rich, consistent finish. After the final coat has dried, we conduct a detailed inspection, remove all protective coverings, and clean the work area, leaving your Sabadell home pristine with beautifully finished doors and windows.
