How we work
To add a new socket where there was none, there are two approaches. The first is concealed wiring (regata). This involves opening a channel in the wall from the nearest socket to the new point, running the cable inside, and then closing the channel with plaster. This is visually the tidiest but involves minor building work and repainting the wall. Timeframe: 4-6 hours plus wall repair. Changing a standard switch to a dimmer switch requires first checking that the light fitting is compatible. Standard LED bulbs are often not dimmable. Only LED bulbs with a dimmable label work well with a dimmer. Old halogen lights dim without issue but are rarely used now due to their consumption.
