How We Work
It's an old close-coupled cistern; the flat dates from the 1960s. Two years ago I changed the flush mechanism for a new one (the blue and white plastic type). Now it's leaking water into the bowl, and the tank seems to never stop filling. The stopcock is next to the tank. It is a mezzanine, the inner courtyard drain doesn't clear, and the downpipe is poorly constructed; we believe the entire installation needs to be changed. Every time it rains, we get flooded. This is a communal repair, we need a quote for the community president. The float mechanism works perfectly. The water outlet never stops, it constantly keeps flowing, and we had to close the stopcock to avoid wasting water.
