How we work
First, all old silicone must be completely removed. New silicone cannot be applied over old, as it will not adhere and will peel off within weeks. Removal is done with a special cutter, scraper, and in difficult cases, with a specific softening chemical product that dissolves old silicone without damaging the tile. Silicone application is done with a gun and continuous, non-stop movement. Stopping and restarting creates visible irregularities. Immediately after applying, it is smoothed with a silicone spatula or a finger dipped in soapy water to give the characteristic concave uniform finish. The masking tape is removed before the silicone starts to cure, within the first 5 minutes.
