Trinitat square is located between Meridiana and Trinitat park. The entire neighbourhood is between these two points, in a triangular perimeter completed by the Ronda de Dalt and the C-58 motorway, housing nearly 10,500 people. The square has changed. "Five or six times", as Ramon and Emilio recall. It now has three levels. The lower one for benches under the plane trees and jacarandas, the central one for the children's playground, fenced off as usual, lest the children play outside those boundaries, and the upper one, with a bar terrace. All of it, with traffic on three sides. It used to be four until vehicle access was cut off at the foot of the parish of the Holy Trinity, which is not an architectural marvel. Of course: if the Sagrada Família has a crypt underneath, here they have a car park. Much more useful. Barcelona’s water supply system formerly included pumping stations such as Casa de l’Aigua de Trinitat Vella. The station was used to collect water from wells in Montcada i Reixac and then pump it to the tank in Trinitat Nova, where it was treated and channelled to supply much of the city.
