How we work
Call us, message us on WhatsApp, or request your quote online – we reply within 10 minutes during business hours. Changing a standard switch to a dimmer switch requires first checking if the light fixture is compatible. Standard LED bulbs are often not dimmable; only LEDs labelled 'dimmable' work well with a dimmer. Old halogen bulbs are dimmable without issue but are rarely used now due to their energy consumption. To add a new socket where there was none, there are two approaches. The first is chasing. This involves cutting a channel in the wall from the nearest socket to the new point, running the cable inside, and then plastering over the channel. It's the cleanest aesthetically but requires minor building work and repainting the wall. Timeframe: 4-6 hours plus wall repair.
