How we work
The float mechanism works perfectly. The water flow never stops; it constantly keeps running, and we had to close the stopcock to avoid waste. It's an old concealed cistern; the flat is from the 1960s. Two years ago, I replaced the flush valve with a new one (the blue and white plastic type). Now it leaks into the bowl, and the tank seems to never stop filling. The stopcock is next to the tank. It's a mezzanine flat; the internal patio drain doesn't clear, and the downpipe is poorly constructed. We believe the entire system needs replacing. Every time it rains, it floods. This is a communal issue; we need a quote for the community president.
