How we work
The choice between different types of wood or wood-effect flooring depends on three main factors: budget, intended use, and desired aesthetic. Laminate floating flooring AC4, which is what we sell most of today, offers a great quality-price ratio with resistance to intensive use. It consists of a top layer of melamine with a realistic wood effect (high scratch resistance), a high-density fibreboard core, and a balancing layer underneath. The top layer has an AC4 rating (suitable for intensive domestic use or moderate commercial use) and withstands 25,000 abrasive cycles without visible wear. For standard domestic use, it lasts 15-25 years looking good. Its drawback is that, while visually very realistic, it's not natural wood and cannot be sanded and re-varnished if damaged in certain areas. You will receive a detailed quote before we start, with no hidden charges or additions upon completion. Before starting any work, you will receive a written quote with itemised materials, labour, and VAT. If any unforeseen issues arise during the work, we will communicate them and obtain your approval before proceeding.
